Shelley Matcham

Shelley Matcham is the director and Principal Physiotherapist at Swan Districts Sports Clinic. She has over 16 years of experience working in injury management and exercise rehabilitation as an Exercise Physiologist and Physiotherapist.
Shelley completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology) at the Queensland University of Technology and her Bachelor of Physiotherapy graduating with honours at Notre Dame University in Fremantle. Shelley has a unique understanding of injury prevention and management of all injuries and emphasises prevention through the use of active exercise based therapy. Her extensive level of experience also includes the treatment of sports injuries for all levels of sport and recreation. This comes from having represented Australia in Touch Football, Rugby 7’s, Gaelic Football and International Rules. Areas of Interest: > Sports and musculoskeletal injuries, orthopaedics, exercise rehabilitation > Currently lead physiotherapist for Swan Districts Football Club Men’s League, Reserves, Colts, Women’s and Development Squads > WA Women’s AFL team and WA Women’s rugby team > Previously involved with women’s AFL high performance academy, WA Men’s AFL team, Qld Bulls cricket team, Qld AFL U/18’s boy’s team, Brisbane Broncos and Toowoomba Rugby league teams |
